Being consistent in Special Education is important

Having a daily routine is very important in Special Education. This routine helps students stay on track and allows them to focus on the objective in front of them. Most students in Special Education already have extra daily obstacles and staying very consistent with a schedule helps to alleviate any extra stress that they may be under that day. The consistency can look like many things such as a daily or weekly schedule, structured around a lesson that includes regular breaks, reading a text aloud, or sitting in a quiet place. Stability is provided from consistency so finding and using techniques is very important and allows students to make the gains we know they are capable of making.
