Sara Ingersoll: Teacher Spotlight

Happy birthday to one of our #HomeGrownHeroes, Mrs. Sara Ingersoll!

Mrs. Ingersoll is an outstanding Kindergarten teacher at PCR-I!

She is a 1994 PCHS graduate and married to her high school sweetheart, Scott. Sara was born and raised on a family farm in Putnam County. She and Scott have been married for 24 years. They have two daughters, Kendall (2019 PCHS graduate), and Karlie, a Senior at PCHS this year.

Throughout the years, when Mrs. Ingersoll is away from the classroom with the Kindergarteners she adores, you could find her at a ballgame cheering on her girls. In her free time now, she enjoys reading, crocheting, and cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals!

One thing you might not know, before Mrs. Ingersoll began teaching, she worked as a Registered Nurse for 13 years in various areas of the medical field, including surgery, hospital outpatient, specialty, and family clinic settings. She was also served as our school nurse before switching to teaching Kindergarten. This is Mrs. Ingersoll's 12th year of teaching Kindergarten at PCR-I.

Show Mrs. Ingersoll some love on her birthday today!
