Teacher Spotlight: The Apple of our Pi, Mr. Fleshman

The Putnam Press Celebrates PCR-I Staff

📰Our PCHS Journalism Class has been working on their craft and have chosen another staff member to highlight for their next feature.
🥳Let's hear it for Mr. Kyle Fleshman, Math Teacher & Coach!
💙Mr. Fleshman is a hard-working family man that works here at Putnam County as our math teacher. He enjoys playing board and card games with his sons whenever he can, despite their busy schedules. He also enjoys playing basketball with his family in the driveway and building or creating something new. His hobby of building and creating comes from his passion for learning new things, which is why when we asked him what job he would've chosen if he wasn’t a teacher, he replied, “I would choose anything because I love learning new things and I almost wish I could live several lives at once because there is just so much to experience in life.”
📊Mr. Fleshman also likes teaching his STATS class because he gets to learn about the students' different opinions. He enjoys seeing people succeed whether it's in sports or the classroom, and it’s been that way since high school when he tutored middle school kids and discovered his love for teaching (especially helping them with their math homework). From there he attended Northwest Missouri State University and now is proudly one of the staff members of our humble school. He has received many awards for his exquisite basketball teams and extraordinary coaching skills.
💙In the end, he loves his job, and he would love to see his students enjoy math as much as he does. It’s no secret that he’s a very genuine person and a great teacher, Putnam County is more than lucky to have a teacher like him.
🥧On a side note, yesterday was 3-14 (Pi Day). Mr. Fleshman and his students enjoyed the celebration of Pi Day (3.14) with a variety of tasty pies. Way to make learning fun!
