Little Chefs in the Making
Students have had fun learning about nutrition, recipes and cooking with Ms. Joni this summer. 👩🏼🍳👨🏻🍳🍉🍏🥝🍓🥦🥕🥩🍗
🍉The students even made Watermelon Salsa for a refreshing treat! 🍉
4 cups diced seedless watermelon.
1 cup diced red onion (about half a medium red onion).
2/3 cup chopped fresh cilantro leaves.
1/2 cup chopped fresh mint leaves.
1-2 jalapeno(s), seeded and finely diced (add more/less to taste).
Zest and juice of 1 lime.
Combine all ingredients in a bowl and serve immediately with tortilla chips or refrigerate for up to 2 days.
