Painting Pumpkins

We decided to dress up the outside of the classroom with some festive pumpkins. The students in my classroom each received a pumpkin to paint. Each student spent time using their creative expression. They practiced their small motor skills with small paintbrushes and the amount of paint they needed to apply. Each student practiced communicated with how they wanted their pumpkins to look and which colors they needed. Students felt successful after seeing their results. They are displayed for everyone to see.
