Update for Ms. Wickert's Speech and Language Students

Hello! 

I hope everyone is staying healthy during this pandemic! I miss all my students and hope they are doing well! In an effort to continue to provide speech and language recourses to all my students, I will be adding resources right here on the Putnam County R-I Website. I will be adding an article weekly to ensure students can practice their speech and language skills at home. If you would like to touch base with me personally, I check my email several times a day (kwickert@putnamcountyr1.net). 

This week I am sharing one of my favorite simple articulation websites (www.quia.com). 

Follow these directions to work on articulation or language with your students:

• www.quia.com
• visit quia web (middle blue option)
• shared activities click "more activities"
• in the search engine search "speech therapy"

Once you are there, you can choose what sound your child is working on or what areas of language to work on (categories, vocab, figurative language etc.)

If you are unsure what to work on with your child, please do not hesitate to reach out. I will gladly send you the goals we are working on at this time. Please reach out if you have any questions, comments, or concerns. I would be more than happy to help! I have had a few students who just needed to talk and check-in. I would love to hear from my students so if they want to email me that's great!
