Middle School Character Education
October Trait of the Month: Self-Control
Our community winners for the month of October are the lunch ladies here at Putnam County R-1. They work hard to make sure everyone has a nice meal every day and do it with a smile on their faces. Throughout the year, the ladies decorate the lunch room on special occasions and have a game for the students to play. The ladies also help with the organization of staff fundraisers that help members of the community. It is safe to say these ladies possess all of the character education words that we celebrate throughout the year.
Good attitude winners are nominated by teachers in the middle school and are students who have shown positive attitudes in the classroom and among their peers. They will receive 2-10 bonus points coupons with their certificate. The following students are great examples of a positive attitude for everyone at Putnam County R-1: 6th grade Daelynn S, 7th grade Kenadie N, and 8th grade Micheal D.
The following are our character education winners for the word self-control for the month of October: 6th grade, Allise P, 7th grade Reise B, and 8th grade Chase S. The winners received a t-shirt, a concession stand voucher, and a plaque.
