Help us celebrate PCHS Class of 2021 Senior Spotlight, Miss Whitney Rowland!
Whitney is the daughter of WesLee and Mary Rowland.
Whitney is also our PCHS Class of 2021 Valedictorian!
What are your plans after graduation? “My plans are to attend Truman State University with a double major in Statistics and Psychology for my Bachelor's Degree. Afterward, I plan on receiving my Masters of Mathematics Education with a minor in political science.”
What’s your favorite memory at PCR-I? “My favorite memory at PCR-I was time spent with members of the Art Club.”
Where do you see yourself in 10 years? “In ten years, I hope to be a director for a TRIO program.” (Federal outreach and student services programs designed to identify and provide services for individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds.)
What is something you want people to know? “Even if you think you can't, you probably can.”
What’s your favorite quote? “I like people who have a sense of individuality. I love expression and anything awkward and imperfect because that's natural and that's real." -Mare Jacobs
What’s your advice for incoming freshmen? “Apply for Upward Bound when you are a sophomore (if you're eligible).”
Who inspires you to pursue your dreams? ”The Upward Bound Program inspires me to pursue my dreams. They have helped me achieve so much more than I ever thought I could, and now it is my turn to do the same for others.”
