Ashlynn Knowles: Class of 2022 Senior Spotlight

Help us congratulate Class of 2022 PCHS Senior, Miss Ashlynn Knowles!

Ashlynn is the daughter of Rusty and Angela Knowles.

She was involved in FCCLA for one year and FTA (Future Teachers of America) for 4 years. Ashlynn currently serves as the FTA president for PCHS.

We asked Ashlynn what her advice would be for incoming freshmen. She said, "Don't compare yourself to others. You are who you are and that is perfect."

Ashlynn's funniest memory from high school was her freshman year. She was on the JV Cheer team with foreign exchange students from Spain and Czech Republic, Alba and Klara, and it was the best thing ever! "Having them try new things like Mountain Dew and seeing their reaction was hilarious! We had so much fun!"

Ashlynn plans to attend NCMC after graduation to begin working on her degree in Education. She would like to become a teacher. Ashlynn says in the next 5-10 years, she would see herself living on a farm with a beautiful family, teaching, and living every day like it's her last.

We asked Ashlynn what her favorite class was at Putnam: " Math class was definitely my favorite, all because of Mr. Fleshman. I have never met anyone else who could make math as fun as he does. Plus, he always had "Pi Day!" Those pies were a sweet treat!

Ashlynn says her most memorable moment at Putnam was seeing how the community would always cheer on our sports teams. Seeing the community come together for our school was always awesome to see.

We asked Ashlynn what teacher or staff member at Putnam has had the biggest impact on her and why. Ashlynn said, "Mrs. Watt, my JV Cheer Coach, taught me so many wonderful things, such as to love myself and to never give up, even when times were at their hardest. I will always look up to Mrs. Watt."

Congratulations, Ashlynn! We are #PutnamProud of you!
