Jesslyn Knowles: PCHS Class of 2023 Senior Spotlight

🥳Senior Spotlight Time!
👩🏼‍🎓Help us congratulate Class of 2023 PCHS Senior, Miss Jesslyn Knowles!
🤍Jesslyn is the daughter of Mary Brummer.
👩🏼‍🏫Jesslyn has been a varsity student-athlete in Basketball all 4 years, Softball 2 years, and Track for 3 years. She is a State Champion Cheerleader, an MCCA All-State Jumper, and an active member of NHS, SADD, FCCLA, and an ECHO Yearbook contributor. She is also the Class of 2023 Senior Class Vice President, Student Council Vice President, and an officer in FBLA and DECA.
💙We asked Jesslyn what her advice would be for incoming freshmen. She said, "Be yourself, and don't worry about what others think about you. Find a group of friends that care about you and your goals and make the most of these short years."
😂Jesslyn's funniest memory from high school was when Coach Mayer was the first person to explain to her that sailboats are a real thing.
👩🏼‍🎓Jesslyn is still weighing her options for after graduation but intends on pursuing more education as she sets out to achieve her goals.
🥧We asked Jesslyn what her favorite class was at Putnam. She told us, "I would say College English with Ms. Tosspon. I love this class because there is never a dull moment with Ms.Tosspon as she is so free-spirited, and also because I enjoy writing."
💙Jesslyn says her most memorable moment at Putnam was winning the State Cheer Competition. "We put in so many hours of work and so many memories were made. It also was the first time that they had won the State Championship two years in a row so that was a really cool thing to experience!"
💙We asked Jesslyn what teacher or staff member at Putnam has had the biggest impact on her and why. Jesslyn said, "I would say either Mrs. Owings or Mrs. Watt because both of them have helped me look at situations in a different light and given me a more positive outlook on certain situations. They both have helped me learn to stay true to myself and were so patient with me for the past four years and I will be forever grateful for them. They truly have impacted my life and when I go out on my own I will remember what they have taught me."
Congratulations, Jesslyn! We are #PutnamProud of you! #pchsclassof2023 #PutnamProud
