PCHS Class of 2023 Senior Spotlight: Lucas Hendee

🥳Senior Spotlight Time!
👨‍🎓Help us congratulate Class of 2023 PCHS Senior, Lucas Hendee!
🤍Lucas is the son of Megan and Larry Hendee.
💙Lucas's favorite quote: "You are the pinnacle of fitness, Lucas!" Coach Mayer sometime during track last year (sarcastically).
🤍Lucas has been active in the following clubs and activities: "I made it to Sectionals for 110-meter hurdles my junior year and am an active member of FCCLA, SADD, FBLA, and I am Vice President of activities for Interact.
💙We asked Lucas what his advice would be for incoming freshmen. He said, "Don't worry too much about having perfect grades. Yes, they are helpful and show your dedication to work within school, but feel free to enjoy the time you have with the people you have."
😂Lucas's funniest memory from high school: "Taping Mrs.Owings to the wall in the gym for an Interact fundraiser."
💙Lucas's post-graduation plans: "After graduating from Putnam County I plan to attend State Tech in Linn for HVAC technology. In 5-10 years, I see myself working in the HVAC field either here at Putnam or in Columbia."
🤍We asked Lucas what his favorite class was at Putnam. He told us, "Any of the English classes that i took with Mrs.Owings as my teacher. She she was understanding with what we had outside of school and always gave us a great laugh every day."
💙Lucas's most memorable moment: "Pranking Mrs. Tosspon the first few months of school."
💙We asked Lucas what teacher or staff member at Putnam has had the biggest impact on him and why. He said, "I have to say that Coach Mayer has had the biggest impact because he has taught me self-discipline and mental toughness."
Congratulations, Lucas! We are #PutnamProud of you! #pchsclassof2023 #PutnamProud
