Dear Putnam County R-I Schools Families,
We want to express our sincere appreciation for your commitment to ensuring the safety of our students, staff, and visitors while on the PCR-I campus. To streamline and enhance the safety of our student drop-off and pick-up process, we kindly ask that you adhere to the following driving instructions:
For Elementary Student Drop-off in the Morning:
Enter through the 2nd entrance in the high school parking lot, located at the Southwest corner of the high school campus.
Turn left immediately, facing North, as you pass by the Superintendent's office on your right, heading towards the elementary entrance.
Please pull all the way forward, beyond the elementary entrance, to the cement pad on your right.
If you need to park briefly to attend to school matters, we kindly request that you park at the far end of the elementary parking lot or by the dumpster at the end of the elementary lot.
By following these instructions, you help ensure ample space for our buses and other drivers to safely drop off their passengers, contributing to the overall safety and efficiency of our school campus.
For High School Student Drop-off in the Morning:
Enter through the 2nd entrance of the high school parking lot and proceed to drive around the parking lot.
Turn in front of the high school commons to drop off your high school student.
After the drop-off, kindly yield to buses and cars driving past the Superintendent's office towards the elementary school.
When the coast is clear, exit through the first exit and take a left to avoid additional morning traffic.
For Middle School Student Drop-off in the Morning:
Use the Middle School entrance located off Garfield Street to drop off your middle school student.
Please be aware that it is illegal to pass a bus when its stop sign is out. If you need to stop for supplies or other matters, please park in the Middle School parking lot.
For the Car-Rider Line at Pick-Up in the Afternoon:
Enter through the Southwest 2nd entrance of the high school parking lot.
There are four different pick-up stops in front of the middle school where students are picked up.
Our staff will direct you to the appropriate stop to pick up your child.
Safety cones are set up to prevent anyone from driving around another vehicle where students could be walking.
From 3:15 p.m. to 3:45 p.m., please do NOT enter through the Middle School entrance as it can only accommodate one-way traffic. However, if you need to enter there and park in the Middle School parking lot, that would be permitted.
Remember, the speed limit on school grounds is 15 mph, helping keep everyone alert to students and pedestrians.
