6th Grade Update
Launch the media gallery 1 playerThe sixth-grade students are going to start their first book study next week. My reading classes will be starting to read the book Hatchet written by Gary Paulsen. Together we will explore the adventure Brian had while stranded in a Canadian wilderness. Along with reading the book, the students will be completing comprehension activities to help them truly understand the story elements.
The sixth-grade English students are getting ready to start mapping out their very first Middle School Essay. This is an exciting time for me as a teacher. By having the students start with writing a personal narrative, I am able to learn a little bit more about each one of my students. The writing process will take a few weeks to complete. I will be sending out an email to all parents/guardians when the final due date has been selected.
