Launch the media gallery 1 playerOver the past few weeks, the students in my classroom have been enjoying the book Old Yeller written by Fed Gipson. We have been reading the chapters together as a whole group, in small groups, with partners, and by ourselves. We will be finishing up this book on Monday and taking an assessment over it on Tuesday. The students will then get the opportunity to watch the movie. As we watch the movie, the students will take notes comparing the book and the movie. Afterward, the students will write a comparison essay and explain to me which representation of the story they liked best.
