Teacher Workdays
Do you ever wonder what teachers do on the "Teacher Workdays"? No, we don't sit around, watch movies, and grade papers. Some days we have professional development provided by people outside the district and on other days we have our very own staff members share their knowledge with us. Yesterday, I was able to work with a variety of teachers in various grade levels to dive deep into our writing standards and evaluate our teaching practices. I had collaboration time with the staff members who teach the grade above and below me. I was able to create new mini-lessons that will help the students become better writers. I am extremely excited to set in place these new lessons. I can't wait to meet with this group again to see what I come away with.
